http://www.learning-theories.com/

This article deals with learning theories which help address how people learn. I found that the different theories illustrated on this web site were very interesting. I think that different learning theories are what make us different as people, and that is very intriguing. After taking an online survey regarding my learning style, the results confirmed much of what I already knew about myself. As far as learning goes, I prefer illustrations and visual aids rather than reading boring material over and over again. Although most instructors already do this, I believe that it should be required to give lectures with a PowerPoint presentation. By doing this, you are touching all levels of learners. Those who learn better through hearing, seeing, and reading.

This week was pretty hectic for me, I started working again and it was rough getting back into that swing of things. It always takes me a while to balance school and work and use it to my advantage. I am beginning to keep up with these assignments better. Our group will need to be meeting up soon to further discuss our workshop topics and assignments.

U-Blog 2

What a week! This past week has been crazy for me. I have dealt with some serious computer issues and it has been very difficult to stay up to date with this class. I am starting to learn very quickly the need to check Blackboard as frequent as possible. Over the week we were assigned group members and appointed a group leader. In the group discussion board on BB, we went over several topics for our training assignment. The top 3 that we decided upon were: 1) Web Browsing, 2) Email setup, and 3) Internet scam aviodance. I believe all three of these topics are important when it comes to training. I look forward to the opportunity to train individuals on each of these topics, as all of them are highly important in today's society.
